Mission Sex Control & National Treasure
Saturday, 29 December 2007

Out with JiaYin, JiaMin and Clown Shawn; What a rojak group of people. It was fun, and we didn't have much awkward moments hanging out together. All was good. :D Oh, I almost gnawed Shawn, to my own surprise. All JiaYin's (and, indirectly, Puppet's) fault.

Wanted to catch Alien Vs Predator II, but it will only be open in cinemas on New Year's Day. Warlords was only showing at 11pm, so we ended up watching Mission Sex Control, this seriously draggy and retarded Korean movie. It was amusing at some parts, but overall just a sucky show.

Mission accomplished. I never thought it would be so easy, haha. Next up, M18 >:)

Supper was a treat from me and JiaMin - satay + otah + drinks. So JiaYin and Shawn are gonna treat us next time. Note to self: Must remember to step on JiaYin's feet. 0:)

Sunday, 30 December 2007

Did homework with Yunqi in the morning, and we had kway chup for lunch. Waited for Gabriel and SungMing before we headed to Vivocity for National Treasure: Book of Secrets. It was good, much better than some stupid movie on preventing rural families in Korea from having more children. *rolls eyes*

Yunqi left after the movie. The three of us had dinner at Ti Amo, where Gabriel the smartass almost picked up a fight with the waiter. -.-" My stomach was going to explode, so proteins-hungry SungMing finished up my fish&chips for me. Thank you very much for not wasting food. :D Gabriel pangseh-ed us, so SungMing and I made our way to JiaYin's house, and ended up in the wrong block. My bad. :p Spent half an hour talking about a whole lot of stuff before leaving.

I seriously gotta get down to work. :\

Merry Christmas 2007
Three more days till school starts again. If you know me well enough, you should know that I've already done all my homework and prepared myself for the new school year ahead. Yup, I've done them all. Mmhmm.

/EDIT @ 29 DECEMBER 2007 6.58PM

I got to know JunHui this morning when he came to collect his photos. He made a second trip to the shop to pass me green bean soup in the evening even though we just met. So sweet (and cute) right! Too bad I don't like green bean soup very much, so I brought it to JiaYin's place to share with everyone else, haha. The good thing is that I won't see him ever again, and it's always better to just keep those good thoughts about people. :)

--

"Y'know that Shawn huh, he bears a striking resemblance..."
"To...?"
"Cecilia."
LMAO! Poor Shawn...

MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYONE! :)

Update: Edited, lengthened, still no photos.

--

Christmas this year is just plain tiring for me. >< In all the rush and weariness, I have already forgotten many of the things which happened. Either that or time just flies when we're having fun.

Adrian drove me to KBT at 8am on the 24th, and I was barely in a conscious state of mind. He was telling me something, but I forgot what he said the moment I stumbled out of the car. HAHA. Had my breakfast with 8th and 9th granduncles, Uncle KZ, Uncle Kiat and Adrian (all uncle-like figures) because Zai, Di, and Yi couldn't bloody wake up early enough. It was fun nonetheless, listening to stories about the KBT kids when we were little. ;) Di had long hair, omgz.

The three pigs came down later, looking like zombies, tsk tsk tsk. Peeled potatoes with 5th and 9th grandaunties (I'm so guai! *smirks*), played Taidi <3 with the guys as we sang old pop songs in the office, packed the drums and gongs (Uncle KZ says we can buy a new set soon ), and we got to work. Since the aunts weren't present, the four of us were left to make decisions on our own. We have such fabulous teamwork, it's like we can read one another's minds. KBT team ♥ I got a bit tired in the afternoon, and fell asleep while sitting on the chair unknowingly. My very fabulous 8th granduncle punched me in the stomach and I woke up shocked. Wahlao -.- Oh, we also shared ghost stories! There were so many experiences at KBT last time, and we had much to tell newbie Adrian. It's such a pity those stuff died down a lot as we grow older. I don't see people kenna possessed and acting weirdly anymore. :( Dinner was buffet, but we didn't manage to get the good stuff, as usual.

Bathed at the 8ths' place, and watched some cable TV before heading back to KBT. The aunts came from work, and had a looooong discussion with the adults about upcoming KBT events. January'08 is damn packed! >< Our Christmas celebration was simple yet hilarious. We sang Christmas songs in bits and pieces while counting down because nobody knows how to sing a complete one, haha! Ended up singing Chinese New Year songs. Must be in the upbringing. Logcake-cutting session, stinky red wine, snatching of the DS Lite & PSP, loads of noise and laughter. ;D

Reached home at about 12.30am, a quick shower, and cabbed to Charlene's house. The midnight charge was just scary. Reached at around 12.40am, and I was feeling quite high. Kido called at 1+am and KNN-ed me because she didn't receive an sms from me. Network was jammed please. :( Sparklers, mentos + coke experiments, more Taidi, much talking, a couple of pictures, and I fell asleep on the couch at around 4am. Couldn't help it, I was seriously tired. Woke up at 8am, waited for the rest to wake up, whacked JiaYin with pillows, took breakfast, exchanged gifts, and I had to make a move.

I was off to KBT again, about ten minutes after I reached home. Bathed in record time man! I usually take at least an hour to get ready before going out. :p Did some work, and a bunch of us went to check out a Malay wedding nearby. We didn't know it was a wedding, and thought a temple was out visiting because we heard the distinctive crack of a whip repeatedly. For the first time in my life, I saw horse spirits! I never knew that they exist. Omg, it was just cool. Jimmy said he's heard of them, but they seldom appear in Singapore. We're lucky! :D Zai and I thought those guys were possessed by spirits of generals or something, but no, we later realised that they were horses. O_o I found it interestingly strange, really. You gotta see it to know how cool it really is. Zai and I were the only KBT team people left in the afternoon because the aunts went home and the rest didn't turn up. We went back for a second round of horses-watching with 8th granduncle, got sianed, and I fell asleep on the chair around 5pm again. This time, 8th granduncle shouted into my ear, "Mei ah!" Urgh. #$%^! Changed location; Zai and I took a nap on the couch in the office until 8pm. We missed dinner and nobody bothered to wake us up! Damn hungry.

We burned loads of incense paper, talked loads, and laughed loads. Oh man oh man oh man, Jan'08 will be so exciting and busy! We're gonna sleep over at KBT during one of those days, I cannot wait!!! :D Mason's wedding is two days after Yong's, and we all got to go back to KBT on the day between their weddings. One week later, it's the KBT sleepover which will eventually become a pre-CNY celebration, I'm sure. ;) What better things to do while passing time in the middle of the night when nobody is supposed to sleep other than cards and mahjong? Quoting 9th granduncle, "那个时候,这里就是我们的天下!" We would need to turn vegetarian for three days though, 'cause Mr Teo said so. The problem is, being brought up in KBT and always well-fed with meat, I am a meatarian. Most of us are, really. Mr Teo knows that, so it's a challenge. If not eating meat and turning vegetarian is going to make us feel more peaceful in the mind during those three days, then so be it.

Two weddings in one weekend, with the exact same bunch of people. Very cool.

Ling Guang Ai Old Folks' Home
Friday morning was spent at Ling Guang Ai Old Folks' Home with the volunteers of CCS. It was an eye opener and a really fabulous experience, making elderly happy with the songs (oldies and Christmas carols) and dances. I'm starting to really love CCS. Y4E rules, period. :D Poking the camera in the faces of people can make them feel scared, lol. Photos!

Argh, Clement and Joel!

Y4E preparing before the performance - Jame, Joel, Alexandra, Grace, Belinda, GuanYan.

因为有爱,所以传神。

Joel thinks he's very shuai. Who agrees?

GuanYan has a cute dimple! :)

I thought this photo was damn cool. The lighting just seems a bit off.

Elderly volunteers who danced some chinese dance kinda thingum.

Clement sang and jammed a little :D

MeiYue jiefound my camera intimidating at first (I pointed it right into her face), after that she was pulling me to help her take photos, HAHA!

Mr. Lee, one of the two Santa Clauses. Their "hohoho!"s were plain adorable.

They look happy. But I feel really sad.

The ahgong doesn't look happy having a photo taken with GuanYan.

The volunteers also performed the hoopla game. I'm damn n00b at it la. -.-

Belinda sang, "我很矮,但是我很可爱。" Laugh until I stomachache xD

Angelic volunteers and loveable Santa Clauses gave out presents!

ZhaoEr jie and MeiYue jie, two of my favourite people at CCS <3

The other uncle totally ignored us! Probably because Grace ain't loveable enough :p

I was chasing Jame around with the camera and did panning by accident, haha!

Y4E with Clement, Mama and MeiYue jie. ♥

We found a cool sign on the way back. ;) I think Joel lugged it home.

I took 954mb worth of photos (almost 300 of them!), totally pwnz.

--

Spent the night at JiaYin's house. Was supposed to watch Eye 2 with her, but JiaMin and I backed out so we ended up watching our favourite horror-less horror movie, Stay Alive. I dozed off at around 3am when JY was watching Ratatouille, haha.

Reminiscene, Movie Marathon, and Density On The Rise
My sister couldn't find her uniform just now. When my mom said that she gave ALL our Yangzheng uniforms away to the donation thingum set up at YZ and not one set was left, this overwhelming sadness came over me, and I seriously started crying like nobody's business. I think I felt heartbroken, or a kind of sadness to that degree anyway. It felt as though a part of me was gone just like that. *snaps fingers* Ripped away from me, and never coming back.

Super old, just look at the colours. And my mom took off the nametag.

It was and is not just a uniform. It symbolises the memories which the bunch of us shared together in Yangzheng. The memories, tears, joy, irritaion, frustration, jokes, rumours which we shared cannot and will not be wiped out so easily, I'm sure. But once the item of significance is taken away from you, it hurts really badly. Not just hurt, I admit that I was scared too. It surprised me as well, but I truly felt fear. Fear that I may forget what we have encountered during those six long years. Fear that I may forget the friendships built over that period of time. Fear that once the uniform is gone, all those precious and dear to me will go with it as well. Six years. When I graduated from Yangzheng, that was half my life then. And the close friends whom I have made from Yangzheng? I have known them for almost half my life now. I have always thought that our friendship is going strong, and that we'd really remain close friends 'til we are old and have dentures or something. But reality has proven to me that I was wrong, because sometimes, people just disappear from your life - whether you like it or not. Primary school friends have always been very, very dear to me. These are friendships built on years and years worth of memories. But somebody (stupid Clement) once told me that friendship built without challenges is vulnerable. And now, I feel that it is true. We have never had fights or quarrels amongst ourselves before. People just strangely disappear. If we have had fights or whatever stupid things and still could remain great friends, it would seem so much more secure. It's like, we can withstand obstacles which come our way! But no, I can't be sure as of now. In fact, I'm constantly worrying if everything will just fall apart gradually and that's the end of things. Damn.

Anyway, turned out that my mom was only kidding anyway. I still have one last set of uniform. Zzz.

Movie marathon at JiaYin's house was just as usual. Caleb, Gabriel and Fiona went, and it was a nice and small gathering. :) Started at 9+am with cartoons on the cable, and we proceeded on.

Watched Kill Bill 2, 30 Days Of Night, and some silly Stephen Chow show. Kill Bill 1 was so much more interesting and cooler than the sequel, or maybe it's just because I missed about twenty minutes of the show since I went to buy lunch for the rest of them. Told ya I'm nice. Apparently many people died consecutively when I was out, sianzxzx. -.- The vampires were seriously retarded and ugly in 30DON. *rolls eyes* Uncivilised too! Let's not talk about the gory parts, they always change the scenes when the most gory parts are supposed to appear, so there really isn't much gore. I almost cried at the ending though, it was so sad. Stephen Chow's show was lame and cute at the same time, like always. :)

Had a good talk after watching the movies, and it was really cool since we were like, "talking about matters of the heart", quoting Caleb. Dinner at Ti Amo, and the topic simply continued from before. I had a lot to tell Weirdo, but it was tough to find a point to begin with, so I didn't say much after all. Too bad. I think JiaYin got her confirmation answer today. Yes we understand, but no cannot.

--

I'm not much of a liar afterall. Dang. :(

And some guys are just so damn dense! Plus fickleminded. Tsk.

My Guy, A Magical Toyshop, And A Lot Of Protein
I've been spending the past few days with my new guy. He's kind of small in terms of built comparatively (but strong nonetheless), and seriously tanned (chaota already), but I love him.

Introducing...

My very own Canon EOS 400D!
♥♥♥

Also known as Rebel XTi. It's so pretty, isn't it! No, you can't disagree. I spent all (yes, ALL) my salary on this blob of metal + glass + plastic + chips, so I'm really going to treasure it. Despite discouragements from my close friends and nonchalance from my family, I bought my first dSLR! *dances around* It may not be the best way to use my salary (should have saved it up, bought some books, yada yada), but it's the way I want to use it. I've never been a follow-your brain-not-your-heart person anyway. :D

Oh yes, I'm currently terribly broke. All angbaos, presents, and treats are welcomed. Thank you very much. :] I do think I'm mad sometimes.

Saturday night was spent with JiaYin, JiaMin, and a bunch of JiaMin's friends over steamboat buffet. I got stepped on the big toe by JiaYin (she totally jumped on it okay) and it freaking started bleeding! I'm so going to gang up with Clown one day and step on hers man. Got scalded by spurting oil while cooking for JY too. :( Protein overdose.

Stayed over at JY's, and we talked till about 3am before we knocked out. Woke up really early, because the curtains weren't pulled and blinding sunlight was let in. Wahbiang. Brunch at Macs was cool, because we met our old friend XueTing. :D

Caleb & Charlene came over in the afternoon, and we played cards and took photos with the Rebel!

Camwhoring with a dSLR was not easy after all.

Caleb's interesting expressions/poses, as usual.

Caleb planned a gathering (THANK YOU VERY MUCH, COUSIN! :D), so... Headed to YishunGV for Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium with Charlene, Caleb, Garbriel and SungMing. I never knew that it was so dark (I'm not racist, nonono) in GV Yishun, if you get what I mean. The theatre sucked big time, period. The movie was really cute, but it wasn't that good, unfortunately.

Played arcade for a while; I beat Caleb at Time Crisis 4 and got 2nd for Daytona. Yes, I rock. It was Marina Square's Seoul Garden for dinner. Yup, Eat first, lament later!I ate a damn lot, haha. The bill amounted to $145 for the five of us. Seriously, I doubt we even ate that much. As much as I was happily stuffing myself with chicken and beef and kimchi, it wasn't thaaat delicious, really. Gabriel says I'm quite pig for a girl, but I thought everyone already knew that. *shrugs*

Caleb left earlier, then Charlene went the other way from Serangoon MRT station, so I was stuck with the two aliens. We had a great time talking and laughing about *coughs* fabricating evidence. Gabriel and I did anyway! :p Walked my dear twin to the bus interchange to wait for his bus (am I nice, or am I nice?), Gabriel left shortly after, and I went for a curryful supper at my grandmother's.

Sms-ing until 3+am was really nice, because I gained a lot of new insights (and compliments HAHAHA). Plus, I was very much entertained. Am happy. Thank you. ♥

The Major Gathering 2007
[EDIT]

" There are worlds beyond our own.
The compass will know the way. "

I love the witches, seriously. They are always portrayed so interestingly in movies. Witches, vampires, werewolves - my favourite fictional beings. I like the various battle scenes the best though. :) Nicole Kidman is quite an actress, love it. Lord Asriel's daemon, the snow leopard, is the most beautiful daemon in the entire movie. <3 Daemons of children are just really cute because they are so child-like even though they are animals. I'm starting to like fantasy movies. Can't wait for the next two movies from this epic trilogy to be out in theatres! It's a must-watch. :D

Zhi Kai and I sat in the seats meant for handicaps because I couldn't be bothered to walk all the way to the second row and squeeze through people to our allocated seats. :p Inspired by Gabriel and Jeremiah, haha.

--

Am running a fever, -inserts swear words-. My body is getting weaker. >:( I didn't usually get sick just because I didn't sleep for one night plus. Sadded. Get well soon to JY as well! 同病相怜

[/EDIT]

I wanted to blog in the Day 1, Day 2 mode, but I realised that I cunt can't (oh, dang!) do that because it felt like an extremely long day to me. So I'll just blog about the chalet like it had been a loooooooong day. Was exhausted. Still am.

Met up with Gabriel, Bryan and Fiona at about 1pm to shop for snacks and drinks for our dearest friends. And a cute tube of pokemon toothpaste. I shall not reiterate how ungentlemanly Bryan is. Oh, I just did, didn't I? Hung around at Macs for about half an hour, and Fiona's mom kindly fetched us to the chalet at Costa Sands Downtown East. Settled down, watched about half of Secret, and lazed around until the others arrive. They arrived at almost 4pm, waaaay past my estimated time of 3pm. Jaren and I were wearing the same shirt, lol. We have such fabulous taste. *smirks*

Take I. Gabriel threw a pillow at me, that evil thing. I meant the pillow, yeah.

Take II. Nobody bothered to look at me at all. -.-" Ooh, Charlene's shorts are reflective!

And the usual random pictures, haha.

I don't know how, but SungMing, Gabriel and I ended up in a mini pillow fight.

JieYing had to leave (very) early, unfortunately. Went cycling, and everyone got sprayed by mud from the back wheels of our own bikes as we cycled over muddy puddles. -inserts random swear words- Our feet, pants and back of shirts were splattered with mud. Except for Bryan, who cleverly decided to sit in front while double-biking with Fiona. Very... Nice. Saw horses with enormous male reproductive organs, they were rather amazing actually. Met Pearlie at Subway (we really hugged and said hi, lol!), where she almost immediately pointed out a gay to me. Seeing homosexuals when Pearlie and I meet have started to become a strange trend. :\ Linked five tables together because we're such inconsiderate customers, and we had a super loud dinner. Shaun and Zina came around then too. "A B C D, five letters." I'm sure that's five letters huh! :p After much dilly-dallying, most of us headed back to the chalet room to hang out while four people disappeared. Hmmm.

As we settled down again, I decided to take out the snacks so that we could pig out. I threw a packet of Lays too high up, and BOM!, it hit the spinning fan and exploded. Raining potato chips, woohoo! Stunned. Then everyone started laughing and hyperventilating. SM PWNZ EVERYONE. Should have thrown Jack N' Jill instead right. Lays is more expensive. :\

ChunKeet did his wushu/kungfu exercises and rolled off the bed, oopsie. Then I made him do split thrice, despite feeling pained and all, so that I could take photos, HAHA. I wanted to make him do his high-kick thing in slow motion (quite impossible, really) so that I could take more photos, but he looked like he wanted to commit suicide on the spot. xD I'm such a terrible person. No, I did not render him sterile! Fiona exaggerated. At most a bit weaker only.

Charlene, Caleb, SungMing, Fiona, Zina and I played Blackjack while ChunKeet, Marcus, Jaren and JiaYin played Bridge. Fiona and Zina lost, so they had to treat us to McDonald's 60¢ icecream. My lame idea, thank you very much. *bows* Thank you Fiona & Zina. :) JunSean reached when we were going out to Macs to get the icecream. Shaun left shortly after we returned, but he left his box of panadol in the room. JunSean popped panadol because it was free. JunSean also bathed because it was free. Quoting ChunKeet, "Yau kwee!" Oh oh oh, I love the picture in Marcus' wallet. It's so sweet. Even I don't have it in my wallet. Seriously, THANK YOU <3

More random shots :D

It was a happy and fun night; all the laughter, general knowledge education, dirty jokes, lame shizz. We were constantly laughing and shouting because everything was freaking hilarious. Could have breached the chalet's noise pollution thing. We also caused a lot of pointless mind pollutions to poor innocent friends! JiaYin has got to be the most innocent person I know. Fiona, "jiayin's a dangerously innocent person, who spouts appalling questions with an honestly innocent face, holycrap." JunSean acts innocent only, wth! I was cheated by him for the past, what, 6years. "Wait, you know what's a dick right?" xD ShanZhi popped by for a short while, and we seized the chance to do some height comparisons. Due to the fact that I promised the vertically-challenged party that I won't post the photo up on the blog, I won't. I am so nice, yeah I know.

At about 10pm or so, Charlene, Caleb, Zina, SungMing and Marcus left. :( Initially, it was just Bryan, Fiona, JunSean and I who were staying over. But the chalet was so damn fun, Gabriel, ChunKeet, Jaren and JiaYin decided to stay over as well! Impromptu decisions and phone calls, love loads la. :D SungMing left me his cookie, yay nice twin! I ate it up in the middle of the night 'cause I was damn hungry. Talked about relationship issues, FHM & Playboy mags, body languages, love stories, etc. The four of us wearing black (JunSean bathed and changed) were ostracised, most unfortunately. :( They refused to allow us to sit on the same bed as them because they think we'd blah blah blah, what crap logic and theory. The people who outcast us labelled themselves as the "Outcasts", how very interesting eh!

Some kind of friends, outcast us. 6years/3years. *heartbreaks*

Went to Macs for supper at 2am because we were really hungry, and restocked at Cheers to keep us awake. Talked, played cards, ate, and talked some more (while Bryan slept) until 6am. After which, we headed to the beach to, get this!, watch sunrise. We waited from when it was dark to day light. But we still didn't catch the sunrise anyway. Wrong side! Urgh, hilarious.

ChunKeet and JiaYin taught Gabriel and I how to play Bridge (we're still n00b, but that's okay) while the rest finally decided to go sleep. Fancy sleeping at 7+am!

Rafflesian pigs.

But I guess we were all seriously tired. They woke up at about 10am, and we checked out with the chalet room in a really bad state. Rubbish everywhere. :\ Gabriel left us for his other friends, and the rest of us took bus back home. Most of us ended up sleeping on the bus, exhausted. The cute tube of pokemon toothpaste which we bought was useless after all, because nobody brushed his or her teeth during the two days. All bad breath. :X

Love the group photo. Twins have equally long fringes.

Even though it was really tiring, it was way fun! Major thanks to Fiona and Fiona's mom (!!!), and everyone who gave us enough face to turn up. ♥
